Mark leads research and development efforts in performance strategy and is a thought leader in emerging workforce and care delivery models across the clinical enterprise. He actively interprets industry and consumer trends, networks with industry leaders, and oversees content generation for Sg2 publications, conference materials, webinars, tools and analytics.
Revered for his thought leadership, Mark frequently collaborates on consulting engagements and presents at Sg2 conferences, on-site client meetings, national industry conferences and for webinars. He also routinely guides executives and frontline managers in how to use Sg2 intelligence and analytics to develop successful performance strategies. With nearly 25 years of health care finance, operations and systems experience, Mark has successfully implemented cost-savings measurement programs at more than 35 major health institutions across the country.
Before joining Sg2, Mark was the regional director of consulting for Cardinal Health. He led the development of many process improvement projects and innovative, information-based tools, including a balanced scorecard to measure financial performance, process improvement, customer satisfaction, and learning and growth initiatives.
Previously, Mark held various managerial positions. At Cardinal Health and Baxter, he served as a finance and operations manager, overseeing the national direction, training and communication of processes, measurements and financial modeling in cost management services.
Mark holds an MBA from DePaul University and earned a BA with a double major in business administration and computer science from Coe College.
