Mark leads research and development and works with organizational leadership as they transition to value-based care and consumerism across the clinical enterprise. He is a thought leader in strategy for emerging consumerism, patient access, innovative care delivery and workforce models. Additionally, he frequently networks with industry leaders; actively interprets industry and consumer trends; and oversees content development for Sg2 publications, conference materials, webinars, tools and analytics.

Revered for his thought leadership, Mark collaborates on consulting engagements and frequently presents at Sg2 conferences, on-site client meetings and webinars, and national industry conferences. He also routinely guides executives and strategy leaders in the application of Sg2 intelligence and analytics to develop successful performance strategies. With nearly 25 years of health care finance, operations, strategy and systems experience, Mark has successfully implemented cost-savings programs and advised senior leadership on performance strategy development efforts at more than 100 major health institutions across the country.

Before joining Sg2, Mark was the director of consulting for Cardinal Health. He led the development of many process improvement projects and innovative, information-based tools, including balanced scorecards to measure financial performance, process improvement, customer satisfaction, and learning and growth initiatives.

Previously, Mark held various managerial positions. At Cardinal Health and Baxter, he served as a finance and operations manager, overseeing the national direction, training and communication of processes, measurements and financial modeling in cost management services.

Mark holds an MBA from DePaul University and earned a BA with a double major in business administration and computer science from Coe College.
