Sg2 Announces Its Annual Flagship Conference Series

Executive Summit 2014 to highlight strategies for success in a retail-driven health care market

(Skokie, Ill. June 6, 2014) – Sg2, a leader in health care analytics and intelligence, today announced the 2014 theme for its flagship Executive Summit conference series. This year’s topic will be “From Wholesale to Retail: Thriving in a Consumer-Driven Market.”

The day-and-a-half-long event will be held in seven locations across the country starting on June 10–11 in Boston. Sg2 experts and guest panelists will discuss how hospitals and health systems can effectively engage customers across the care continuum as consumers take a more active role in their own health care and the related decision-making process.

“Increasingly, hospitals will need to make themselves relevant to individual consumers—who will hold more influence over key decisions, be more assertive and better informed, and bear financial risk associated with the decisions they make,” said Sg2 President and CEO Steve Lefar. “The retail health care market will be very different from the insurer- and physician-mediated market that we know today. We chose this as the Executive Summit theme because so many of our clients are asking, ‘Okay, what do we do?’”

On day one of the conference, presentations will focus on topics including finding growth strategies in this new market, the use of analytics to understand ambulatory care channels and emerging technologies that offer new ways to reach the retail health consumer. Day two will take a closer look at strategies from a service line perspective.
