A Human+ Workforce: Syncing Up People and Technology
The ongoing exercise of patching workforce holes via recruitment and the digitization of select tasks and job functions has produced returns that are not only inadequate for long-term survival but also diminishing with each passing year. This perpetual cycle has only exacerbated the root problem: outdated workforce models.
To truly move the needle on workforce transformation, organizations must embrace a cohesive “human+” strategy, one that does not merely layer technology on top of yesterday’s workflows or demand more productivity from a workforce already stretched too thin. It redefines the work itself, who does it and how it happens, by aligning human capabilities on a platform built for a digital-first world.
Optimally deployed, technology becomes the glue that connects patients to the system and providers to each other. Silos in care coordination thus break down.
