Trine TsouderosSenior Vice President, Intelligence
Trine leads Vizient and Sg2’s research and thought leadership agendas and the Vizient Research Institute. Her team uses its expertise and data to develop evidence-based actionable insights for its customers, helping them navigate challenges, seize opportunities and thrive in the shifting US health care market.
Before coming to Vizient, Trine led PwC’s health care think tank, Health Research Institute, which produced thought leadership on the provider, payer, pharmaceutical and life sciences, employer, and new entrant sectors. Trine also led the think tank’s regulatory center and served as its managing editor. During the pandemic, she consulted on several COVID-19 vaccine projects and co-founded and co-hosted the podcast Next in Health.
Trine also has 17 years of journalism experience. She served on the Chicago Tribune’s investigative team covering science and medicine, winning state and national awards. Her work has been cited in books and scientific papers. Trine also wrote for The Tennessean and The Wilson Daily Times newspapers and People magazine. A seasoned speaker and facilitator, Trine has given presentations at organizations and events such as the University of Colorado Boulder’s Conference on World Affairs, the New York Academy of Sciences and the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association annual conference. She also was a guest on the podcast This Week in Virology.
Trine earned a bachelor’s degree in international studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is working on a master’s degree in the history of medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
A devoted trail runner, Trine has completed several 50k ultramarathons. She lives in Oak Park, Illinois, with her husband, Jon Yates, her two children and her Bernese Mountain Dog, Moka.
